Parafilm

Parafilm laboratory film is a versatile solution for securely sealing a variety of laboratory vessels such as beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks, weighing bottles, and graduated cylinders. Its highly elastic and stretchable nature allows it to snugly fit the openings of different vessels, providing a protective barrier against contamination and evaporation. Additionally, Parafilm is effective in preventing spills from fallen-over flasks.

Key Features:

  1. Elastic and Stretchable: Parafilm can stretch up to 200% of its original size, allowing it to adapt to various vessel shapes and sizes. This elasticity ensures a secure and tight seal.
  2. Versatile Application: Suitable for sealing a range of laboratory vessels, Parafilm offers flexibility in protecting specimens and maintaining their integrity.
  3. Contour Adherence: Its stretchable and clingy properties enable Parafilm to adhere to irregular shapes and surfaces, ensuring comprehensive coverage and protection.
  4. Prevention of Contamination: Parafilm serves as a protective barrier, safeguarding specimens from contamination and minimizing the risk of evaporation.
  5. Spill Prevention: In cases of fallen-over flasks, Parafilm acts as a spill-prevention measure, reducing the likelihood of spills and maintaining a clean working environment.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: When in contact with foods, Parafilm adheres to the regulations set by the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) when used below 55°C. It also aligns with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

Parafilm’s adaptability, protective features, and regulatory compliance make it a reliable choice for laboratories seeking a versatile and effective sealing solution for various vessel types.
