Filter Flask

Filter flasks—also known as a Büchner flask—are essential laboratory glassware specifically designed for vacuum filtration applications. Made from high-strength borosilicate glass. Commonly used to separate solids from liquids, filter flasks are equipped with thick walls to handle the reduced pressure applied during filtration. During filtration, a funnel containing filter paper or a membrane is placed on top of the filter flask. Suction draws the liquid through, leaving solid residues behind.
