Marienfeld Superior Counting Chambers – Precision Instruments for Particle Counting
Marienfeld Superior counting chambers are high-precision instruments designed for accurately counting particles in liquid samples. Manufactured from special optical glass, they are crafted to meet the highest quality standards and fully comply with DIN 12847.
Each chamber is individually tested according to the German Calibration Ordinance, ensuring strict adherence to planarity and dimensional tolerances. The chamber depth tolerance is limited to a maximum of 2%, guaranteeing consistent and reliable measurements.
Ideal for analyzing cell suspensions, these counting chambers are equipped with two sets of counting grids, enabling duplicate determinations—a requirement for many in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) applications. The double-grid design provides a built-in double-check for enhanced accuracy.
A 0.4 mm thick haemacytometer cover glass is placed on both external platforms of the chamber to define the sample volume. Thinner coverslips are unsuitable, as they may warp due to capillary forces. Each unit comes with two 20 x 26 mm cover glasses, compatible with most standard counting chambers. Spare coverslips are available separately.

Fuchs-Rosenthal chambers require 24 x 24 mm cover glasses.

Nageotte chambers require 30 x 30 mm cover glasses.
Chambers are individually packed in clear plastic boxes, with 10 pieces per carton, ensuring safe storage and easy handling.
